Another village with a funny name (it means "Salcott and Virley" - so it's actually two funny names - but why they don't call it that I don't know)! But I managed to get inside this church, and I had a look around and sat on the font.
This church has a kettle and tea and coffee stuff for visitors to use, which is nice but I didn't take advantage.
The villages of Salcott and Virley originally had their own separate churches (and they were both St Maryses). However the church in Virley was destroyed by an earthquake in 1884 (you'll be pleased to know I was NOT involved in this). It was never rebuilt and so Salcott church now is used for both villages.
