Uncle Les had real problems taking my main photo by the noticeboard here. The noticeboard was in shadow and if I sat in the sun (which was very nice, and the obvious place for a bear to sit and warm his splendid fur) he couldn’t expose the photo properly (or so he said). So, I sat in the shade (mostly) with a bit of railing inserted up my trousis to hold me up!
He made up for it with this rather splendid photo of me sitting on a sundial in front of the church (fortunately, there wasn’t a sticky-up bit for me to worry about hurting my abused bear behind - the "sticky-up bit" is called a "gnomon", Big Ted.)
I went inside and had a look around - and the obligatory photo on the font. This St Mary’s has an apse and an int'resting ceiling.
