We didn’t plan to visit this St Mary’s on the way to our holiday apartment in York, but we were surprisingly early - the roads had been horrible with roadworks and bent cars and Auntie Fiona wanted a break from driving.
So, it was handy that Uncle Les (who had been scrutinising the map as usual) said: “ooh, there’s a St Mary’s in Tadcaster” just as we came to a road sign saying “Tadcaster”.
So, we visited it – and very nice it is too. It has a very organised sign/noticeboard and a flat font cover with brass bits.
