Nun Monkton (519)

This is a nice St Mary’s, but it has a big tree at the front which makes it difficult to see properly.

Inside, it has a really tall East window which Uncle Les took a photo of for me. [The window has glass by Edward Burne-Jones and William Morris and is claimed to be the best stained glass in north or west Yorkshire, Big Ted.]

Outside, there are cottages and houses around a big village green with a duck pond and a maypole.
