Bishophill Junior (520)

This church is actually in York but is on a road called Bishophill Junior and it’s called “St Mary’s Bishophill” so that it’s not confused with St Mary’s Abbey (see number 512) and St Mary’s, Castlegate which is now a “contemporary art venue currently hosting a Van Gogh immersive experience” (I didn’t bother going there – I’m not that sort of bear!).

Having got all that out of the way – I visited this St Mary’s and had my photo taken, but couldn’t go inside.
