Bewdley and Worcestershire churches (or not!)

Bewdley and Worcestershire churches (or not!)

Added on 01 April 2022

My first holiday of 2022 has been to a place called Bewdley. It's on the River Severn in Worcestershire. I'd been to Worcestershire (where the sauce comes from) before, but I'd only visited five churches, so I wanted to make the numbers up a bit. However, on the first day of my holiday, the two churches I visited were in Staffordshire and Shropshire [big sigh! - I really must talk to my driver to sort this out].

Big Ted at Doverdale in the snowIt got better on the second day with five St Mary's in Worcestershire and one each in Shropshire, Herefordshire and Staffordshire. This was then followed by five Shropshires and five more Worcestershires! [Someone's going to have to update a lot of pages on my website to sort this mess out. Heh, heh!]

Only problem was, I got snowed on at a place called Doverdale (see photo on the right - the snow in this photo may have been photographic'ly enhanced; I couldn't possibly say)!

My final St Mary was in a place called "Old Swinford" (which is also called "Oldswinford" and is part of Stourbridge). The church is quite big and is lovely and bright inside. I met some ladies and said "Hello" to them and looked round the church, sat on the font and played in the box pews. It was a most satisfactory end to my holiday.

Update: I've just been informed that the church details and photos of me have now been added to this website: Worcestershire, Staffordshire, Shropshire AND Herefordshire.
